Join the Devonport Friends Group

The Friends is a group of volunteers who actively support the centre by helping out in various ways.  They provide very valuable support for the centre and it could not operate without them. 

The Friends help to organise events, arrange open afternoons and meet-the-author events, help out with projects, such as the centre’s library and garden.  

The Friends also offer practical assistance to writers who are staying at the centre, such as inviting them to their home for a meal or helping with transport. Some members of the Friends have special knowledge which they can share with writers, such as editing, publishing or research advice.

The Friends is a lively social group and new members are welcome. Members get to meet the authors if they wish and are invited to key
