Vivienne Plumb is a playwright, poet, and fiction writer with a creative arts doctorate from the University of Wollongong. Her writing highlights the fantastic and miraculous in everyday experience, and she has won numerous awards and fellowships. From July-December 2016 she is the University of Auckland/Creative New Zealand/Michael King Writer in Residence. Vivienne will present on her play script The Wife Who Spoke Japanese In Her Sleep, which she adapted for the Auckland Theatre Company from her short story of the same title. The play premiered at the 2009 Auckland Festival of the Arts and the script will be published this year by Playmarket N.Z.
