Australian Poets: Jill Jones and Michael Farrell

Come to the MKWC on Monday 29 March to hear Australian poets Jill Jones and Michael Farrell talk and read from their recently published anthology Out of the Box: Contemporary Australian Gay and Lesbian Poetry. There is a pot-luck dinner from 7 pm. The talk and reading will run from 8 to 9 pm, chaired by MKWC writer in residence Martin Edmond. All are welcome to this free event, which has been organised by the NZ Electronic Poetry Centre (nzepc).
Jill Jones and Martin Farrell are in Auckland to take part in Home & Away a Trans Tasman Poetry Symposium organised by the nzepc and The University of Auckland. The symposium will be held at the university on March 30 and 31. Jill Jones teaches in the Creative Writing programme at the University of Adelaide. Her most recent book is Dark Bright Doors//Out of the Box: Contemporary Australian Gay and Lesbian Poets (Puncher & Wattmann, 2009).
Michael Farrell is a poet, editor and PhD student at the University of Melbourne.

Please note there is limited parking on Mt Victoria (parking is available at the base of Mt Victoria, on Kerr St or at the top of the mountain) and it may be dark on the road after sunset.
