Libraries - to be or not to be

07 August 2014 - 7.30 for 8 pm

Former Michael King Writers' Centre resident writer Te Awhina Arahanga has been invited by the Devonport Library Associates to talk about some of the challenging issues for libraries.

Do libraries still have a place in a technological world? Are they past their use-by date or is there still a place for them in the modern world?

Te Awhina Arahanga is a writer, researcher and social historian. Her iwi are Ngāti Tuwharetoa, Te Ati Haunui A Paparangi,   Ngāti Hauiti ki Rata Rapuwai, Waitaha, Ngāti Mamoe and Ngai Tahu. She is from Christchurch, but currently lives in Devonport.

The event will be at the Depot Artspace, 28 Clarence St, Devonport, on Thursday August 7.

Drinks and nibbles from 7.30 pm, talk from 8 pm.

All welcome. Koha.
