30 July 2008 – Michael King Writers' Studio Trust - NZ Trust of the Year for 2007

The 2007 NEW ZEALAND TRUST OF THE YEAR

This award is judged on endeavour, merit and outstanding achievement.
In 2007 there were a total of 7 nominations received nationwide for the premier trust award.

The winning Trust stood out to the Judges for their decision, through the huge local and wider Public support shown for their efforts in meeting their objectives.

A real strength of this trust, as with all the past winners of the premiere trust award, is a strong combination of vision, governance and commitment. Blend this with the passion of people and you come up with a winning formula.

They are fortunate to have a dedicated group of people who have given their own time and energy with associated costs, to network with the various sector key personnel, their organizations, and government to make the dream a reality with longevity.

On behalf of the New Zealand Trustees Association, I have great pleasure announcing the New Zealand Trust of the Year for 2007 is the MICHAEL KING WRITERS STUDIO TRUST.

North Shore must be very proud that the Trust is based within their city.
Congratulations to the Trust Board and their supporters.

Errol Anderson
Executive Officer
New Zealand Trustees Association
