Next residency opportunity

For the first time, the centre has a full programme of supported residencies in place for 2010, with writers already selected.

We hope to be able to offer four supported residencies again in 2011, although this will depend on the success of our applications for funds. The four residencies are expected to be:

• The Summer Residency (eight weeks from January 2011)
• The Autumn Residency (eight weeks from March 2011)
• The Maori Residency (eight weeks from May 2011)
• The University of Auckland Residency (six months from July 2011)

If funding is approved, we hope to call for applications for the Summer and Autumn residencies from June this year.

We hope to be able to call for applications for the Maori residency and the university residencies from November.

Visiting writers

Writers are also able to stay in the second bedroom at the centre for short periods on a paying basis (see the Visiting Writers section for details about the accommodation and the modest prices which apply). Please contact the administrator about availability.
