The centre has a second bedroom which is let to writers who need a quiet place to work. The accommodation is for a single writer, so there are only two writers in the house at any time.

2026 Rates: NZ writers residing in NZ - $630 including GST

International writers - $850 including GST

Bookings are based on a weekly basis starting on a Monday, check in by 1pm and check out by 10.00am on the following Monday. A 20% deposit is required to confirm the booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card.

The room has a double bed, ensuite bathroom, desk, WiFi and all linen is supplied. The kitchen, lounge and laundry facilities are shared with the writer-in-residence. Public transport is close by as is the supermarket, shops and cafes. A parking space is available if required.
