Emma Hislop – 2023 Australian Residency Exchange – to Varuna

Emma Hislop (Kāi Tahu) is based in Taranaki. Her debut short fiction collection, Ruin, was published in March 2023. She holds an MA with Distinction from the IIML and received the 2021 Louis Johnson New Writers Bursary. Emma is part of the Te Hā Taranaki Māori writers collective and is working on a novel.
